Title: On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Haverford College Alumni Association
Author: Shaw, Charles
Type: Recording, oral
Issue Date: 1956
Subject: Education
Description: On 'the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Haverford College Alumni Association,' these four gentlemen evidently had been invited to the college for a conference. This recording was made later, at the studios of WCAW. The four panelists, hosted by Charles Shaw, are: William Douglas - Associate Justice of the US Supreme Court, Andrew Cordier - Exec. Assistant to the Secretary General of the UN, Jervis J. Bab - Chairman of the Board of Lieber Bros., Prof. Frank W. Notestein - Princeton Director of the Office of Population Research. There are 5 tracks - they get progressively noisier, and so a noise reduced version has been produced, with reduction applied to the end of track to and all subsequent tracks.
