Abstract
Description
Richard Oulahan interviews Rigoberto Sandoval on September 2010. Sandoval talks about Guanchias, a Honduran banana company where Agrarian Reforms were implemented. Here, the “campesinos” owned and the lands and lived on them, and, since they owned the company, the “campesinos did not have a boss. This company was modeled by others, and Sandoval talks about the pros and cons of this type of company, especially of the issue that arose when “campesinos” began selling these lands. Sandoval also talks about the effects of the Agrarian Reforms on the lives of the Honduran “campesinos” and about corruption in the “campesinos’”cooperatives. He ends by talking about some of his experiences working with other leaders in charge of the Agrarian Reforms.
